Description

SOLD The perfect counterpoint to a Giacometti sculpture, or a rough-hewn Nakashima table is glass, something organic and irregular but smooth and cool to the touch. John Bingham, a Santa Fe, New Mexico blown-glass artist, creates biomorphic vases that are sculptural and beautiful. The forms fold into and over each other, the creases create amazing lines and shadows in full sun. The body could be filled with sand, or a section could be used for ferns or flowers, or - the form can just sit on a surface and decorate it perfectly. Signed, just under the neck, underside. Circa 1980.

11x 10  x 6 inches.

There are a few areas of the neck that have short, tiny nicks as made because the neck is rough cut.
