SOLD Richard Stauffer (B. 1932- ) Contemporary Studio Art Glass Amethyst Purple Blown Glass Vase, the globular vase with center hole, the amethyst color stretched and played with to the interior of the form. The playful stretching of glass to the interior of the vase demonstrates the skill of the artist in the blown glass medium. 

Born in 1932, Stauffer has mentored Rollin Karg and many other contemporary studio artists at Emporia State University in Kansas. Stauffer's work is represented at the Corning Museum of Glass in addition to several other museum collections.
