Description

British Studio Pottery Mary White Blue, Lavender, Grey and White Vase Vessel, of ovate form, the lower section glazed in  lilac purple, turquoise, natural white and grey tones, in patches and irregular bands. The area toward the top with an irregular, upper edge with a layered, squished and overlapped mid-section, detailed in delicate black pen-work. 

Impressed M over W inverted to underside. 

5 1/2" H., 6" W, 4 3/4" D.

Mary White (1926-2013) had a reputation not only as a ceramic artist, but also as a member of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators. She moved between England and Germany.
