14K English Yellow Gold Victorian Diamond Miniature Portrait Brooch, the circular frame inset with 34 old mine cut .7 point diamonds, roughly I-J color, totaling 2.45 carats, centering a miniature of Marie Antoinette, after the painting by Elisabeth-Louis Vigee Le Brun, of 1783. The monogram is that of Emilie Arnault Cushman Wilcoxson, aka Wilkerson, who had moved to Paris in 1895.

The brooch reverse engraved ERW February 1896.

The diamonds each 2.16 mm from table to culet and 3. 16 girdle, natural color. Light color range to diamonds. 

7.1 dwts. 1.3" diameter. 

Provenance: The Wilcoxson family, a late heir, thence by descent into a New York private collection. 

George Wilcoxson, born April 1, 1830. Died February 8, 1881. Married to Emilie Arnault Cushman Wilcoxson.  Emilie Arnault Cushman Wilcoxson born September 7, 1828. Died October 26, 1897 (Paris). Emilie and George Wilcoxson married October 6, 1855.
