George III Sterling Silver Caddy Spoon by Matthew Linwood. The bowl is engraved with a checkered motif around a plain tear drop center. The short old English handle has been bright cut and engraved with the initial A. The silversmith, Matthew Linwood, was a well known and skilled craftsman working in Birmingham during the early 19th century. This is an excellent example of English Georgian craftsmanship.
