Description

Staffordshire Pottery John Turner Stoneware Teapot & Cover.

The body of squared bombe form over bracket feet, with squared spout, and arched strapped handle. A deep brown circular panel to each side with applied Neo-Classical sprigs in white. The domed cover with a recumbent lion atop a circular panel reticulated with foliate patterns. 

Impressed TURNER to underside.

Circa 1800.
