Description

English Mid Victorian Gilt Silver Sugar Shovel Spoon by Isaac Foligno. The handle moulded with grape leaves and clusters on vines. Shovel shaped bowl.

Marked to underside: Queen’s head Panther date letter Q for 1851 and I and F in a modified Venn diagram within a rectangle.

Isaac Folgino, Jewish silversmith, worked at Bethnal Green. Circa 1797 - 1857.

This lovely spoon would make a glorious way to serve sugar in anyone’s tea or coffee.
