SOLD 18th Century Champion's Bristol Hard Paste Porcelain Polychrome Painted Mug.

The mug of straight-sided cylindrical form, the c-form handle moulded with braid, and with curule design to base, the sides painted with polychrome enamel bouquet of flowers to one side; and a spray of flowers to the other side. Slender gilt band to rim, and gilding to handle.

The base marked in underglaze blue-black enamel T with a long-tailed 7.

Circa 1770-1775.

Dots of frit, substantial wear to gilding.
