Description

18th Century Worcester Porcelain Jug, pencilled in black enamel with “Boy on Buffalo” pattern and molded with a sparrow beak. Grooved handle.
Painter’s mark of x in a circle to underside.

Circa 1753.

3 5/8” H.

Professionally-restored 2” hairline from rim toward foot. I have removed the over-painting as it was showing signs of age, the white areas badly yellowed. The cement fix is quite sturdy and strong.
